The Otterburn Tower country house hotel and restaurant, located in the heart of Wild Redesdale, is truly unique. The Otterburn Tower nestles in 32 acres of its own estate, fronted by terraced lawns and surrounded by woodland.
The gardens stretch down to the village of Otterburn with all the facilities close by. The hotel is beautifully restored, with the original features of oak panelling, leaded panes and stained glass, very important features of the hotel. The 18 rooms are all en-suite with the old library now a master suite with a four poster bed and every comfort.
So whether you are looking for a relaxing break, to explore the coast, castles and valleys of Northumberland, to be active or for a family holiday we look forward to welcoming you at our historic hotel.
The hotel is also equipped with direct ISDN links for video conferencing, fax and telephone facilities and our meeting rooms are carefully designed to meet the needs of most corporate presentations. Further audio-visual equipment and conference aids such as VGA data/video projectors and video projectors (PAL/NTSC) can be provided at a small additional cost. Secretarial services including typing, faxing and photocopying are available at reception. In addition, if delegates wish to bring their partner with them or if you would like to extend your visit, please enquire about our special rates.
The Otterburn Tower is not only unique in its wonderful surroundings and historic fabric, the pride of the hotel is in its food, prepared by our exceptional chefs to traditional and modern recipes using produce from the proprietor's own and surrounding farms. Here you can truly taste the difference in food prepared and presented fresh from the farm. The hotel also has its own vegetable garden, ensuring freshness and taste throughout the menu.

All children are welcome. All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 10.00 per night and person for cots. If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

The hotel, which is owned by a local farmer, is not only unique in its surroundings and fabric, the pride of the hotel is in its cuisine. This is prepared by experienced chefs to recipes as old as the Normans and as modern as your tastes desire. In season, the chefs have their own kitchen garden, growing the finest herbs and salads. Longwitton Farm is the source of the tender lamb and beef produced in the Northumbrian hills - you can really taste the difference!
By road:
- The Otterburn Tower is situated on the A696, which is the main Newcastle to Edinburgh road.
- Otterburn is just 30 minutes drive out of Newcastle (25 miles).
